Default My red white and blue 128

Well, I picked up this gem the other day for 250 bucks. The stater generator is blown out of it, it needs a paint job, and the brake pads are toasted. It came with a snow blade and the 38 inch mowing deck. All around, not a bad deal for a gear-drive. Around this town, these are very hard to come across.

Not a bad deal. S/G can be had reasonably, painting is not all that hard, and brake pads shouldn't be a big ordeal. So your certain it runs? Check for compression,...... Have any plans on running it this winter season? Well, heck thanks for dropping in. Hope to hear more about the 128!

Congratulations on your R/W/B 128!! Yes, a WF gear drive is certainly hard to come by as most of the pullers have grabbed them up. However, it doesn't have a stater.....perhaps you meant a starter/generator? It looks like your air cleaner is smaller than the ones on a 12 hp Kohler---maybe it is just the angle that I am looking at it, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure that it is a 12 hp engine in it. All in all, it looks like a good machine and the price was certainly right!! Looking forward to seeing more of it as your work on it continues and hearing more from you in the forum.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
