Nice deck Sam. I need to get off of my butt and get my 48" deck painted before it gets too cold to paint.

Got a few more things done today. Cleaned the pulleys and got some paint on them. Also cleaned and primed the spare set. Installed the spindles, welded, cleaned and primed the rear lift bracket. Kind of a PITA day. Went to wire brush the bracket with my right angle grinder and it crapped out, had to fix it. Then I found a crack in the bracket, drag out the welder. Just one of those days. Had planned to be putting it together. Oh well. One nice thing about the Haban decks is that the complete spindle will go into the deck from the top, nice easy install.

This project is about done. Just need to paint the belt guards, the mule and the lift linkage. It was too cold to do that today.

As always, perfect work there Sam, and thanks for posting all of that detail, will need to revisit this post myself some time.
I have been on the hunt for 60 inch Haban for a while. Not much luck with them up here. See a couple of "gold plated" ones on ebay, but nothing around my area comes up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
