73/K161 keeps dying
Hi all - hopefully this doesn't make me sound like too much of an idiot, I just have a tendency to start troubleshooting things that don't need it when something goes wrong.
My 73 had been running decently since I got it in the spring, after a little carb adjusting. The last two times I've tried to run it, though, it's died within about 5 minutes of starting. I can work the choke and throttle to keep it firing for 15-30 seconds, but then it dies out and won't restart. I let it sit for 1-2 weeks in between the two times now that this has happened. I am most definitely a novice with small engine work, so I'm just wondering what is a good place to start with this. Thanks for any input!

I could be a little bit off here but the last two times that has happened I put a new coil and condensor on it and have ben mowing ever since.

Do you have the screw adjusted way to lean? It sounds like to me that it's not getting enough fuel because you can run it with the choke.
