I don't think Cub Cadet ever used a double pulley PTO. John Deere did. Is it possible the engine is a transplant?

Or the clutch was a transplant. I don't think it will hurt anything. Might even be a good thing!

ok that looks to be a deere clutch and neither is for a 5/8th belt both look like 1/2 in and cub uses a outer cage to keep the clutch from spinning if it was mine I would replace clutch and use a 6in pulley at that time but its not mine

You will want the 6" pulley on the PTO. The smaller one will not work very well. The blower will be more like a plow. With the 6" pulley, the blower is almost unstoppable.

Thanks Ray, but I will check with my local dealer to see if he has what I need. He is also a collector and saves lots of used parts for resale.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
