What? Polarize? ...... I don't know what your talking about. An alternator wouldn't need polarized..... unless your talking about something else...

I would be checking that pincor for a fuse or breaker being bad or tripped. It has to have somekind of safety devise built into it I would think to protect the generator.

Ok, well you can't polarize them.... not sure where that idea came from. Anyway, if it doesn't work, I'd suggest an electric shop. Some place that rebuilds starters/ alternators. If it has been sitting a long time, probably a simple fix. The only simple thing to try is plug something into it like a drill, hold it on and take a hammer and TAP, not hit, the case. May be a stuck diode. If that doesn't work..... Take it somewhere.

OK I just looked at the owners manual for the pincor 4500 watt gen and it shows fuses right on the outlet end of the gen. Have you checked any of them yet?

Right on! I didn't think about it having a fuse/ circuit breaker. Some old gen's don't.

The Canadian models are the only ones fused. Foolish if you ask me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
