That are some stout looking rear-ends. I think if you break that something more important is coming with it.

Don,
Do you run 1/2" wheel studs? I also really like those billet axle housings. Nice and short. Or at least they look shorter than stock. |

Don
Just wondering if you puller guys have trouble breaking transmission cases? If you do maybe these reinforcement braces that I came up with would help. I’d like your thoughts. The pic labeled GT brace is the production version the other pic shows how they bolt on the tractor. It also fits the NF tractors, at least it fits on my 71.

Sam , I like the design of your brace. its thought out very well and takes care of a major problem. We really don't see damage to the case's unless something on the inside wants to get out. We always tie the wheelie bars into the 2 bolt holes at the rear and then to the frame in the back and the Super Cub case's are thicker than the cast iron ones.
I've seen the cast iron case's crack from the rear pinion bearing bore up to the top shaft rear needle bearing bore. |

I really don't see how you sink that much $$$ into those things. I've built a lot a really big transmissions that we had only about 5-6K in. I must not be a good enough salesman. Crap, I have enough trouble getting people to put a trans IN THEIR CAR!!!

People don't care how much they spend on a hobby but they do about the everyday things. I've seen guys try to buy stuff for their tractors when you can plainly see their kids need shoes

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
