It's been a little slow going this winter. A big project at work was started followed by a catastrophic press break down, (bad for company
....a lot of overtime for me ) The trunion has been repaired thanks to info I got from this site, and the Maple Hunter decals, again learned about here, are great, THANKS GUYS!. And I know it doesn't look like it, but I can tell Molly can't WAIT to ride in the mulch trailer behind this "new" tractor this spring like she has the 122.

The steering wheel is from Summit Racing. It is VERY reasonable at $26, (and is available in several styles and finishes at that price) and very comfortable on the hands. I unfortunately had to heat the hub to get it off the shaft, and that then, melted the plastic around the stock wheel. I made an adapter to mount the new wheel by cutting the spokes off the hub and welding a washer to the top, then drilled and tapped 3, 1/4x20 holes to mount the new wheel. I made a horn button mount with a piece of sturdy plastic cut to diameter and the chrome button just snaps on. I'll get a few pics and post them soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
