In one of the messages I seen from you, you stated that your new pump adapter would be threaded. I assume then that you plan on placing the bolt from the fan backward into your new adapter. I have just gotten in from reassembling my 1782 and I see that the nuts that hold the fan on have a sholder that goes into the fan's plastic holes. How will you keep from crushing the plastic fan hub without the sholder nuts?

hope you can get a drive shaft figured out, the rag joints are falling apart in my 1772. id like to only mess with the shaft once and for all.
