Hello everyone. I am now the owner of a new to me IH cub 108 and looking for info to get it running again as well as acquiring lift and a tiller. My first question is my 108 is green and white, I have not been able to find another green and white one anywhere. The po ripped out all the wiring so I know I will at least be in the market for a wiring diagram. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how. Until then the serial #2050043U522883, I think it is a 1974. Thanks for all responses. Dave

Congrats, and welcome to Only Cub Cadets. The 108s are sweet tractors, easy to work on and run real well. I suppose somebody repainted your tractor the wrong color, that's too bad. It's easy to fix, though.
Check with the sponsors of this site for parts. I buy a lot from ccspecialties.org, he has most of what you'll need and want. Posting in the Wanted section of this forum or checking the for sale items is another way to find bigger items like your lift and a tiller.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
