Stopped at the welder today and he is running behind, seems a tree fell on his car last night. He said he will get it done tomorrow AM.
I have a Super with a broken front casting. 2082.

Got a buddy with the same tractor I told you about several months ago that tried a brace of his own design might want one.

Mike

As soon as I get the prototype on the 1572 for pics I will post them. Considering that you have one that is busted I will rush a set for you. Your tractor with a broken front mount will be a good test of the design. Shoot me a PM with a phone # and I'll give you a call.

For you GT guys I will get you covered ASAP.

OK Guys
Got the first prototypes done and installed on my 1572. I also made a short set that I think will work on the GT’s. Since this tractor has the older style 60” Haban I decide the use the stabilizer bracket for the front pickup point. I will make a small change in that for the production versions. Need to get some longer bolts because the plate is 3/8" thick. Not sure if these will work on the rear PTO type 3 point hitch tractors without some modification. I need to see some close up pics of how the hitch mounts to the rear.

I have a question on this. My Super has this rear plate on the frame.

It seems like it goes a long way to keeping the rear frame rails from squirming. My bolts and case are all good. Is it possible that this is all that is needed to keep these from working loose in the 1st place? I've only seen one super with the busted loose bolts. It didn't have the rear plate. Can anyone shed light on this.

After giving your brackets a second look, it appears that you don't have the front of the bracket bolted to the frame. Just that the bracket comes up UNDERNEATH the frame rail and that would still stop the frame twist in that area without unduly stressing the frame in other points.

If that's the case, good move on your part.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
