Pretty funny!!! Yeah I already had that in mind about the 72, if it's really a 72 hehehe!! I'm still working on the one super buddy. My dad will be home later this week from a month and half camping trip to the south. I'll show him the pictures first chance I get! I'd like to have it myself but my yard just isn't big enough for a super.

Eric...
Looks like you have a 72 with a 73 rear and a 71 lift handle.
Lift handle should be like the one on a 107,chrome.There should be two extra bolts holding the grill casting to the frame if it were a 73.

my 72 for comparison

Yeah I thought that to Lew but the frame is notched by the engine like a 73. The rock shaft is from an O. Probably the same O the grill and IH emblem came from. She might have a 72 grill casting and hood tho.

If you look real close to the picture from the rear I think you can see one of the bolts your talkin about Lew. I just checked and theres extra bolts for the grill casting.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
