The 86 is using this clutch driver:

All my Cubs (except the 86) have the factory clutch in them with the exception of the clutch disc.

The kevlar disc is not a lamenated style disc.

Looks like I will shell out the larger dollar for OEM. I do thank all for the solid opinions. I don't really want a grabby clutch, but I do want a solid one.

That's a good, sound decision. If I were you I would do like Matt G. suggested and go through the complete driveshaft. You'll be glad you did. There's nothing worse than having to go back where you just were and do something over. You might check the hanger for the clutch lever too. If the holes are wallowed out you have unecessary play. All of this play adds up so the more you eliminate the better the end product should be.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
