A good use for a cadet 60 deck
I had this laying around and needed a front "brush hog" for a project I had in W.V. This Cadet 60 worked great for me. It's no 5ft drag behind but it cuts brush way better than a belly mower.

It runs off the rear PTO of my simplicity with the help of a really long belt and some added idles to the mounting bracket. I cut the front of the deck to expose about 2 inches of blades. I was looking to buy the one simplicity made but they only made them in 68 and 69 before OSHA stepped in and said it was to dangerous. Can't imagine why. It isn't quite as wide as the tractor but works really well. The simplicity version is hard and expensive to come by. I found one that cub made as well but it looked way more complicated. The whole build was quite simple. Finding a long enough belt was the hardest.

I don't think Cub built that but I could be wrong. Looks home made to me. That said between you and Berryhillbrian you have given me some food for thought.
