Jeff you rock, thanks a bunch. Your pic reminds me that the top "ear" is supposed to be longer as well. The other measurement was to check if they lopped off the tops of the front hangers, right? The tops are smooth and look original, since the torch cuts are very jagged. I hope I can return it to function by spreading them apart again and cleaning the edges up with the grinder.

Thank you very much.

TSV,
How is the fix on the blade coming along?
I am working on a blade also. Mine did not have the custom mods like yours. I have it apart except for the shoes. Some parts have been cleaned.
Regards,
Chris

Hey bud, blade is waiting its turn. The 147 it will mount on is exploded in the shop right now, so I will get on the blade after it starts coming back together.

The 122 sold for a nice chunk after about 3 days on CL.

It was a nice little machine, and I think I found it a good home. The guy said he wanted to use it for parades and shows. I'd like to keep them all, but refuse to let tractors sit out in the weather and my fleet card is full.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
