Default my cub is hurting

I posted my problem in the wrong area so I figured I would give it another go. I just purchased my first Cub Cadet 125 and the pulley's on the front of the engine are bad. The pulley that runs the generator wobbles and the pulley that drive the front PTO free spins weather it is engaged or disengaged. I was just wondering how hard and about how much parts would be? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The set screws on the generator pulley have probably loosened up. Those can be tightened with an allen wrench. The PTO sounds like it needs a rebuild. You can purchase a rebuild kit from your local Cub dealer or thru our sponsors listed at the top of each page or from EBay. You can download the Service Manual here: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=4642
Also here is a link for PTO data/repair for the mechanical PTO's:
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9

Price wise a rebuild kit will be roughly around $60. While you had it off I would also replace the PTO bearing.

Here is a good youtube video one of our members made a couple of years ago on how to remove the PTO:

Good advice! Nice video! This should help in the repair of My68cub125's 125.

My68cub125: Good luck! Nice to see you here!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
