Called for first snow of the year last night. Me and the 169 were getting excited. Official accumulation is 1", looks more like 5/8" to me. Better luck next time.
The ags steer easy plenty of traction and leave a footprint like the big boys in the snow! I got stuck in 1.5 hrs traffic instead of my normal 20 min on the way to work due to the heavy snow LOL, so the LW got home first and saw the package by the garage (Destone 26x12-12). She asked how many tractors and tires I need. Need? Hmm...I'll have to think about that. 169 Snow Sm.jpg |

Looks like you're ready for it if you get some. Nice tires. I just bought some Deestone 23x10.50's.

I just put a pair of TruPower 23-10.5-12s on my 149. Is there clearance for 26 inch tires?

The 26's are for a super. They will not clear the fenders on a wide frame without modifications like raising up the mounting of the fender pan. I have seen it done on other threads here.

Thanks. I think this will be the end of it's snow thrower service. I hate to take it out in the weather. I'll put the thrower on a 149 I have.

The Deestones are smaller. I was bummed the other day when I got mine and saw how small they were.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
