I can't answer your question yet. But as an educated guess, I would suspect the difference is: (A) They both are 45" snowblowers (B) The 190-551 is newer and is for mounting on newer model of Cubs. I have data on the 451, just nothing on the 551. Maybe member/sponsor Myron Bounds can supply some information. I'll keeping looking.

Thanks much. Was beginning to think no one read this post. I am now trying to find out if a 450 blower will work on a 1641??? It's snowing, so I'd like to get something set up yet this year...but my local dealer is of very little help when it comes to anything older than a 2000, it seems.
