Default Finally, I can post in this club

My 782 is a CCC machine, and my SO76 a lawn tractor, but I now enter your relm after purchasing a 1450 with a tiller.

I put down a hold payment tonight while I get the rest of the cash and tractor tomorrow. Too bad it's getting cold, as I would like to try the tiller. Maybe where the new septic lines are is good enough for a trial run. It is a little cloddy.

Can't wait to post help and questions, and also some pictures.

You all are very kind. The 782 was restored by a farmer I used to work for. He sold it to me a couple of years ago. The engine smokes a bit, bit it is a nice mower (CCC machine, so it has the aluminum rear).

The 1450 belonged to a member of another forum and was restored by him. Very, very nice job. I tilled about 20 feet last night to try it out, as I couldn't help it, but didn't want to dirty it up too bad before winter. Wow, what fun. It realy leveled part of the ground where my septic lines are nicely.

I moved on the acreage 2 weeks ago. Then a mainline blew in the basement, so we haven't had much fun yet. Can't wait for the big garden though. We are the first family to own this property that wasn't part of the orignial family since 1921. Very special to have done that.

Looking forward to becoming part of your group!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
