I acquired it with a deck in full running order in return for fixing a leaf blower for a customer. I will be looking for fenders, clutch cover and decal set if anybody knows where to find them. I most recently have been getting a name for being one of the only shops in my area to work on and be knowledgeable of older equipment. I grew up on my grandfathers lap on his 1971 JD 110 and restored that when I was young. I primarily do a lot of antique chainsaw work Mall, Disston, Remington, Homelite, Poulan (pre-plastic). You can be assured the Cub is in good hands! Any info is always appreciated!!
Good to see you on here Bryan you will find plenty of helpful info on occ. Hope to see you start a thread on the resto of it soon! The sponsors at the top of the page will more than likely have many of the parts you will need.

Wow, Awesome Video. And a pretty cool concept, Although some of you are worried about hurting the cub, It seemed to hold up REALLY well. If I had to go "4 Wheeling" in the woods, I wouldn't want anything other than a Classic Cub Cadet! They Run forever!!!

I just re-watched that video and posted it to my FB and everyone seems to love it. Anyone have any idea what the music is in the background?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
