DO NOT just pull back on that grille to clean something. There are two tabs on the bottom of it that WILL break off. When you get this back together and the radiator is in need of cleaning, you pull the screen back only enough to be able to lift it out of the holes it sits in. Then you just let it hang until you put it back in. AJ

i just pull it back at the top just enough to get my hand in to brush off the debris.(engine not running) has worked for me thru the years although there are always other ways to do things. You can also pull the screen straight up and take it out to clean. Important thing is to keep it clean.

If you have not downloaded the manual for your tractor you should. Lots of good info in it like the plumbing.

Red Paint, on these engines you need to power up the glow plugs for 15 to 30 seconds and then hit the starter. Make sure your throttle assembly is working properly on the dash and you may need to give it full throttle at startup. Mine will start at 1/3 to 1/2 but yours may need more. If you have a Kubota dealer near you they should have a key. I purchased a complete switch assembly with two keys for I think about $35 from an online Kubota dealer. The batteries in mine are all lawn & garden tractor batteries with a high CCA. The original starters are not very good on these and there is an upgrade that you can do for about $125 with new glow plugs that are a must if your going to keep the tractor.
I wouldn't worry about the rear at this point because it sounds like the typical problems with it being loose at one time and there are some fixes for that. The small yellow panel goes at the rear of the tunnel cover in the center of the fender pan. The black panel may go on the front side of the fuel tank but I can't tell because of the picture. Good luck! ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
