Default Strange Things Afoot

I don't have the heart to let my 1650 parts tractor die. I got this for parts to resurrect the old girl. It has most of the parts I'll need. I hope to end up with his and hers 1650's (and the ability to let the rest of this go to other well deserving machines).
There are definitely strange things afoot here. I wasn't sure what I was dealing with at first. I'm all but certain it started life as a 1450 after closer examination.

The plate is long gone DWayne. Even painted over where it was. I think they put the 149 dash on a 1450. There are a few other strange things according to my limited knowledge.
I don't know if I can but I want to wait and make room in the garage and get my tools all in order before I start on the 1650. That task is long overdue.

I had a cab exactly like that on a snapper once. I think it was marked as a Massey Ferguson.

I assume there are ISOs? Where is the hydraulic valve mounted?

From what I can tell it is the same cab as the Cub Cadet but the front glass is a little taller. I also compared it to a green cab and it was the same top and back. Didn't actually compare the glass. Thought I might just cut it to open it more for air if it interferes with the steering and use it for a shade in the summer. Haven't decided much, AJ, other than use use it for the 1650. Got the winter cab for my first 1650 the other day. Instructions has the front mounted to foot rest unlike this one. See pic.

It does have ISOs. That's what made me think it was a 1450. The valve is on the side (see if you can find it in the pic ). Third pic is the 1650. The 1650 I use is duel ported but mounted in the same place. I don't know where a 1450 or 149 is mounted - yet. The other pics are a difference noticed in this and the 1650 frame.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
