I know it was more than a month ago, but I wanted to show you all what I got for Father's Day this year. My wife bought a new seat for the 149. The old one was kinda beat up, but workable. I think she knew that I probably wouldn't spend the money on it, so she did it for me!
Before, ![]() The tractor cleaned up nice enough, but the ripped up seat looked like crap! About ready to go on. ![]() What an improvement! ![]() I need a nice, big IH sticker for the back. ![]()

Cool story!
If this were my dad's tractor, if someone got him a new replacement seat, he'd save it till the old one was completely shot THEN replace it. Glad to see you didn't wait. ![]()

Congratulations.
I put one of those replacement seats on my 129 last year. It's just about the best money I've spent on that tractor. It's a very comfortable seat. Cheers

Lew,
Lenny's 108 is running great for him. We had some dirty fuel issues earlier in the season. He cleaned the tank and added an inline fuel filter, and I rebuilt the carb. I had it at my place for a day to get work on it. I used it to cut my lawn after I worked on it. It's a nice tractor. I had two tractors in the barn again for a little while.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
