Can anyone tell me anything about this plow? I have deal working on it and I would like to find out anything I can and what it might be worth. Only pictures I have and current owner doesnt know brand. He uses it behind a small Ford about the size of a Cub Super.

It orginally was a Brinly sleeve hitch plow.
Best thing you can do is remove the 3 point hitch and put correct hitch back on it. |

Merk? Are you saying that based on the way it connects to the 3pt T? I wondered that myself. I have both a sleeve and 3pt plow already and I would only be interested using it as a three point. However since it unbolts there are options to make it into something else. Whats it worth?

That is a homemade jobby there. I wouldn't think it is worth more than $50.

Quote:
The 3 point hitch part is homemade and the person who made it didn't know what they were doing. The lower connection hitch pin on the right (sitting on seat should be lower that the left pin. The rest of the plow is a Brinly sleeve hitch plow. |

Oak I want to buy were you do. Any Cat 0 3pt plow that's not totally rusted or broken will bring at least a $100 around here unless I am bad wrong. Not to many of them around here in southern KY. I am glad to get info and value thoughts keep them coming!

Merk, I agree I noticed that also. Looks like an easy fix though. Oak says $50 what do you think?

Don, I agree with you. Cat 0 stuff in GA does not exist either. I paid $250 for each of my cat 0 plows and $100 for a sleeve hitch plow. Brinly no longer makes them and the green ones are over $700. That one may work for you until you find a cat 0 one. The box stores still sell the sleeve hitch ones and maybe you could get an A frame adapter for sleeve hitch equipment to put on the BRS.

BBrinly plow that was sleeve hitch, but from looking at the cat 0 even if homemade it looks plenty strong and right. If you could get that for 50.00 you would be robbing him. Never hurts to ask.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
