Great pics of a fine looking original and it's great to see when our interests in these machines is passed down through the generations--to me, that is the best part of it all!

no when i got this tractor it was broke in half the 2 bottom bolt holes on the frame were broke out so i put a different frame on it. i did add the headlights and the sleeve hitch and the duals other than that i got it that way.the guy i got it from was sharpening the blades on it with a engine hoist to lift the tractor off the ground and then the frame broke and i was driving by when it happened so i stopped to help him and he said he was calling the scrap man in town to get it. i asked him if i could get it so it didnt go to the scrap yard and he said get it out of here or it goes. need less to say it was giving to me and i have had that tractor for 15 years and love it. thanks brian

Great looking O. My son and I are slowly doing near the same thing with an early O but we are doing the turtle job instead of the bunny run.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
