Sminkey,
Very nice job on the details! The prep work must have taken some time because the finished product looks great. Nice upgrade on the duals and front tires.
Regards,
Chris

Here is a few pics of the only duallies I have ever owned but no fresh color like yours!
What's up Stranger Thanks for the compliments!! Coming from someone who's work I've looked up too, that's sweet. It's all in the details for me and the more original the better. No smokestak exhuasts here, ever. Not putting my cubs in tractor pulls. The loader is going to get it's own thread as it's going to take some time to fix. That 108 with the Haban is sick, 8.5 duals!! Thanks again Kevin.

Another question, you did the paint with the engine and drive train in?
How did you get it all cleaned up for paint? Man you're good
Thanks Hubman!

Also thanks to you ajcombs!

zippy1, thank you much! It is rattle can, only thing clear coated is the s/g. Had some orange peeling issues with the clear coat so I didn't try on the rest of tractor. I stripped the 71 down to just engine/drivetrain, then use a commercial grade oven cleaner. Let that sit on there for a while and it will eat some of the paint off let alone all the grease and grime. Hose it off and then sand away. Where I can't get my orbital sander I do by hand. Raised the chassis up off the floor to paint underneath. Thanks again!

IAfarmer, now that's a cool compliment Thanks bud.

Chris, was a ton of prep work, that's 3/4 of the battle! Thanks!!

This is an older thread and Sminkey is no longer a member here. So unfortunately, I don't think you'll get an answer to your paint question. It does look like he used paint in a can by reading the thread.

I wondered what happened, he was making the wire bales for the nf rockshafts nicely.

But for a rattle can, what a good job regardless. Show finish!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
