Cool 50" deck question

Can anyone tell me if the front deck on my 50C deck is supposed to be tapered like in, almost like it hit something. There are no marks, weird question but I definitely am confused. I just got it. serial on deck 03200214137455, only rear wheel deck , no front, wheels, has skid plates, thanks guys!!!!!!!

I currently have two, and had one when I was a kid, i always remember them being pushed back a little - probably from hitting things (which I'm good at).

No,
it hit something, drop it, flop it, and whack it with a sledge hammer till it is straight sided.
BTDT more that I'll like to admit.
It happens often when brush hoggin the field.
While it's flopped, is a good time to scrape the crud off/sharpen the blades

I'd probably throw some heat on it first before hitting it so as not to damage/crack the shell. Mine is the same way and that is what I plan on doing to it when time will permit me to do so.

You're likely worrying about nothing...I have straightened quite a few decks without any heat with no problems.

My feeling exactly,
no heat needed as they are easily straightened

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
