Default 1862 Deck Question

I have a chance to buy a sound 50 inch deck that was on a Cub Cadet 1862. Is this basically a yellow 50C deck with anti-scalp wheels at the front instead of runners?

I'd like to swap out the 5/8 pulley for a 1/2 and use it on my IH CC 1650.

Thanks!
Bill

It worked great!!

Update - I bought the 50 inch deck. I wanted to get a new style spindle assembly for my 44A deck and figured if I bought any deck that had that style spindle on it (aluminum housing with replaceable bearings) - rusted out or not, I'd be good to go.

Turns out the deck is solid and instead of finding a replacement spindle, I got a very usable deck that will fit my 1650. It even has the wide hole placement for the lifting eye for earlier style tractors like my 1650. Might have to paint it from yellow to white...

The price - $50

Yippie!

Thanks!
Bill

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
