I'm Confused!!
The more I search and read the more confused I get. I have a 1250 Quietline, 1976. I was using IH No1 Engine Oil when I first changed oil, even though the PO didn't. For some reason, something I read convinced me I should be using non detergent oil. Of course I can't find that thread anymore.
I have been using Harvest King 30 wt in summer, 10 wt in winter. My question is should I be using detergent or non detergent? At this point, I'm not sure if No1 oil is detergent or non detergent. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Ron.

Any good brand SAE30 for summer. I also use it in the winter.
