Could you show pics of the hydro end. Does the hydro end leak like a faucet? I would be lead to believe that welding that end would melt the seal in that end cap. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to play with welders.

That 1x4 (or so) plate that bolts to the flex disk is welded to the end of the shaft. What I want to do is make 2 more of these plates, cut a piece of the shaft out of the hub end, weld these plates to each end of the gap and mount a flex disk there at the hub.. In my mind, doing so would eliminate the need for the pin and slot in the hub, but I dunno. Anyone here make their own drive shaft?
