Good afternoon, here's what we have due to my father-in-law having to go to a nursing home, and we are not tractor collectors. We have an IH Cub Cadet 1450 Serial # 2050660u614069, with a 42" front blade, roto tiller, mower deck, one bottom plow, and a sack full of new belts. The motor as far as we know is original and runs pretty darn good. We are cleaning the house/garages out and my wife is going to put the whole works in a yard sale. I would appreciate any ideas you guys in the know think we should ask for this stuff, or I would entertain an offer for the whole kit and kaboodle. I live in Coal Valley IL about 3 miles from the Moline airport. I do have several pics of the tractor and attachments if anyone is interested. I should have added that this equipment is in an estate and we really don't want to part pieces out. We would like to sell it all as one lot. Thank you, Mike

Mike I moved your thread to help you come up with a price. If the motor runs good the only other worry would be the ISO mounts. You can check those by getting down on one knee on the right side of the tractor and looking under the tractor and feel the left front ISO mount. The left front wears out frist. The ISO mounts cost $80 to replace. If not to badly worn the drive line should be in good shape.
Pics would really help as well and as a whole it's complete setup with the attachments you have for it. Once you get pics and look at the ISO mounts we'll be able to price it out better for you. |

Cadet 2 001.jpg Duke, tried to attach a pic of the 1450. I don't know if it got attached or not. Mike Also, if I looked in the right area, I would say the left ISO is probably worn out. |

That's a nice package. Post it in the For Sale section of the site. It will be seen more there.

Thank you Allen. Is there a way I can move it to the for sale section, or do I have to re post? I have no clue what to ask for this stuff, and am really hoping for some ideas from some of you folks in the know. Mike

Anytime Mike! I can move your post to the for sale section, but you must have a price first. I'm not really sure, what it's worth, but someone will be able to help you with a price.

Before posting in the For Sale section, please read our policies for posting items for sale here.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/a...ement.php?f=34 The main thing to remember is we don't allow OBO's, asking, or call for price. Just a straight forward price is what we ask for here. With that in mind, you can either price it all as one price, or a price for each item. The Plow usually will go for between $100 and $150 The Tiller and gearbox if in good running condition will bring @ $300 - $350 The front blade and subframe @ $125 The 1450 with the rear lift, wheel weights and deck in good running condition @ $500 - $600 These are rough estimates and somewhat based on what I can see in the pic and what prices roughly bring in the Sale section. Also location and of course actual condition of the items plays a big part in the pricing. Good pics of each item would help a whole lot also in the For Sale Section. I am sure some other guys will chime in with some ideas of prices too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
