Todd,
Yikes, the PTO had you down for a little while. I have had problems with them too. I think those small set screws take roots in those deep threaded holes. Glad you got it apart. Regards, Chris

Ok, PTO is off, you guys forgot to tell me (remind me) about the lock collar, before I beat the heck out of the pto trying to get it off!
Anyway after I cut the starter pulley to get the set screws out of the lock collar and starter pulley, and remembering to turn the lock collar I pounded the pto off and could get it into the drill press and drill out it's set screws. Finally! Also used a piece of cardboard to put the removed head bolts in so I wouldn't try and put them in the wrong spots. Also, I'm not going to be using this tractor for any pto driven attachments, so would I have to put the pto back on, or would it be a good idea to rebuild it and mount it anyway? If I wouldn't use it, what would go in it's place? Thanks

Todd, before I forget it, there is a locking collar on the backside of the PTO bearing. Hope I'm not too late.
