I have read through this thread from start to finish today and am enormously impressed! It makes me want to tear into my O and get started on it, but I bought it to plow snow and until the white stuff stops falling for the season, it is on full reprieve; come spring - hold on!
Thanks for doing such a great job of taking pictures and the sharing the detail work. Your work is doing wonders for those of us (me) that are looking forward to doing this to our own machines! Tony |

Todd,
You have been kicking some yellow "butt" man! Those parts look very nice. Maybe you will get a weather break and be able to sand blast? Any one have a booth that would be able to do it for you? How's the rattle cans working? For some reason someone got gray and white over spray all over the wife's car!! And someone was cleaning and buffing out the hood tonight ![]() ![]() Regards, Chris

Got my sand blasting done today. I told Chris last night, it was getting done come he#& or high water today, and it was. The frame, trans. tunnel, fenders, grill shroud, fender brackets, lift handle and dash tower.
It was a cold moe foe, with winds around 25 mph. I wanted to blast everything outside because it makes such a mess indoors. Being so cold was why theres no blasting pictures, just wanted to get back inside (sorry) Got everything done and back in the shop and cleaned up, then let the metal warm up and primed it all. So now I can start the filling and sanding hopefully tomorrow. Then some color, and begin the assembly process. Here's a few pictures of primed items.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
