Default New here from Delco PA

Hi my name is Jim from Broomall, Delaware County PA. I have a cub 1330 and just recently bought a model 102.
A little about me, I do Craigslist for sport. I worked on cars for many years and did small engine repairs as hobby. I left the dealerships and now run my own business which allows me to travel around a lot and that is great for getting to the deals. Once I fix, I resell for a little profit.
About my cubs first, I have a good condition 1330 which is great at keeping my lawn looking good with hydro control. I can drink a beer doing it and I know its a low model but compared to newer tractors sold but even some in its day it is a solidly built lawn tractor that will outlast most of them. Next is the 102 I recently bought. It smokes a little but the engine starts easy and has no knocks. It was bought with new clutch installed wrong so no forward or reverse. After a little research on correct install and an hour and a beer, I was cruisin round the yard. Basically I joined because of the 102, while I've had the 1330 for a few years its just a rider. The 102 was bought to eventually restore but for now gonna play around with it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
