New (to me) 129. Help with hydro handle issue.
I just purchased a hydro 129. The machine runs great, look good, came with a deck and snow blower... The only problem it seems to have, it a loose hydro handle....It speeds up or slows down with every bump it hits. This is my first hydro, so I am lost. Can someone please tell me how to adjust it to fix the problem. If I hold the handle, it will stay at a steady speed, both up and down hills. Any help will be appreciated.

I have never done it but just looked and from what I can see there is a mount on the bottom of the shifter shaft. It is split where it goes around the shaft. I believe if you tighten the bolt and squeeze it to the shaft some more you will have a firmer shifter. Maybe someone will chime in and confirm it. Hope it helps you.

My 129 is doing the same thing. I noticed that someone had already tightened up the bolt on the clamp as far as it could go. I found a field change pkg, part number 8007448 R91, from one of the vendors to upgrade this. Haven't installed it yet though. I also saw somewhere that someone had used belleville springs below that clamp to apply tension also.
