1872 rearend bolts backed out
I have an 1872 with a ruegg 3pt, and a loader on the front. I had a 42' gannon earthcavator hanging off the back levelling out my yard, and saw a massive hydro leak.
It looks like the 3 lower bolts on the axlehousing that are used as the lower 3pt mount either backed off, broke off, or pulled the threads out of the housing. Assuming that I can get the bolts out can these successfully be helicoiled / thick wall insert, or will that not hold up? If that won't work then I'll probably go down the path of creating a cast iron rear from a 1450/1650 donor with the super innards. I'm not too enthused about that project as it's not something i've messed with before, and really don't have the time to spend right now. At the very least I probably will need to pull the 3 point off, and then pull the axle out to fix this so i'd like to replace the gaskets / seals - not sure if anyone has the part number handy.
