Here are some pics of my 100. I blew the motor a couple of weeks ago and figured while it was out, what the hay!
Anyway, I'm sure it's not in the same league as MattG's 100 or Merk's 70, but it looks way better than before. BTW, this is only a rattle can paint job since this one will still be a worker. All I need to finish is a new front tire, front axle pivot pin, decals, and oh yeah MY MOTOR! ![]() Between Matt's and Merk's threads, I didn't have one single left over part ![]() Ian |

It's Valspar CC Beige and CC Yellow. I'm pretty sure it's not the correct yellow for a 100. I got the paint at Tractor Supply Co.

Nice tractor IanC. How did you keep the paint from running? I tried to use spray cans but it all ran.

Don't have any secrets for avoiding runs. I just move pretty quick w/ it .I guess that's why I went through so much paint. I think I used 6 cans of yellow and 2 white. Thanks for the compliments.

Ian
Looking Good!!!! I don't use spray cans. I use less reducer than the paint company recomends when I mix paint. |

Merk, I don't have the guts to try a real paint gun yet. I told myself that one of my Cubs would be the guinea pig, but I took the easy road this time. Maybe my 149 will get the proper treatment. Thanks for the kind words.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
