100 refurbish
3 Attachment(s)
Here are some pics of my 100. I blew the motor a couple of weeks ago and figured while it was out, what the hay!
Anyway, I'm sure it's not in the same league as MattG's 100 or Merk's 70, but it looks way better than before. BTW, this is only a rattle can paint job since this one will still be a worker. All I need to finish is a new front tire, front axle pivot pin, decals, and oh yeah MY MOTOR!:bash2: Between Matt's and Merk's threads, I didn't have one single left over part:beerchug:. Thanks guys. It's looking good. What kind and color of spray paint is that?
|
It's Valspar CC Beige and CC Yellow. I'm pretty sure it's not the correct yellow for a 100. I got the paint at Tractor Supply Co.

Nice tractor IanC. How did you keep the paint from running? I tried to use spray cans but it all ran.
|
Don't have any secrets for avoiding runs. I just move pretty quick w/ it .I guess that's why I went through so much paint. I think I used 6 cans of yellow and 2 white. Thanks for the compliments.

Looking Good!!!!:IH Trusted Hand: I don't use spray cans. I use less reducer than the paint company recomends when I mix paint. |
WOW! IanC you changed the look of that tractor in a hurry.
Looks great  |
Merk, I don't have the guts to try a real paint gun yet. I told myself that one of my Cubs would be the guinea pig, but I took the easy road this time. Maybe my 149 will get the proper treatment. Thanks for the kind words.
