Well, the deal worked out. Ended up being fairly close to home and everything went 1-2-3. The little Kohler is about the smoothest running vintage one-banger I've ever come across. Really easy startup, and as stated in the ad everything is in working order. Deck is L O U D.
![]() Now the main reason I bought this was the front blade. I mentioned in the first thread that IH plows turn up every so never around here, so I had to act. I was pretty stoked with everything loaded on the trailer, until I got home and had a better look. Some kind soul along the way took a torch to it and modded it to fit some other brand. ![]() Questions: How long are the rear arms supposed to be? Can someone measure those for me? Measure them from the base of the front hanger(s) I'll have to heat the front hangers and open them back up, and then add some steel back, although they seem perfectly sound because the metal is really thick. Ok, enough blabbing here are the pics. |

It's a " resto" for sure, first the fenders have been modded, the guages are not correct and it look like a replacement engine. Other than that it's a nice looking 122.

I agree, they do look kinda cool, like a cross between a 1x2-1x3 and a 1x6-1x7

Really nice clean tractor. At least the PO left you something to work on with the blade. It doesen't look too tough though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
