The 122 followed me home :)

Well, the deal worked out. Ended up being fairly close to home and everything went 1-2-3. The little Kohler is about the smoothest running vintage one-banger I've ever come across. Really easy startup, and as stated in the ad everything is in working order. Deck is L O U D. It either spent its life in a garage being waxed often, or maybe it was restored in the 90's. Hood decals look to be original and it's really complete..although I think I will ditch those modern MTD deck wheels.

Now the main reason I bought this was the front blade. I mentioned in the first thread that IH plows turn up every so never around here, so I had to act. I was pretty stoked with everything loaded on the trailer, until I got home and had a better look. Some kind soul along the way took a torch to it and modded it to fit some other brand. :bash2: It's fixable, but annoying. The front hangers were possibly heated and bent inboard and then they had an inch or so ripped off down to the weld. Then the rear arms were shortened.

Questions: How long are the rear arms supposed to be? Can someone measure those for me? Measure them from the base of the front hanger(s)

I'll have to heat the front hangers and open them back up, and then add some steel back, although they seem perfectly sound because the metal is really thick. Ok, enough blabbing here are the pics.

It's a " resto" for sure, first the fenders have been modded, the guages are not correct and it look like a replacement engine. Other than that it's a nice looking 122.:beerchug:

I see that, someone really did a nice job on those. They look slick like that.

I agree, they do look kinda cool, like a cross between a 1x2-1x3 and a 1x6-1x7

Really nice clean tractor. At least the PO left you something to work on with the blade. It doesen't look too tough though.

Very nice 122, I love mine, it's a close second to the 100.
Seems you have a good tractor to work with:beerchug:

Congrats on the 122 :beerchug: I have one and it's a real workhorse.

I'll get you measurements on the blade shortly.

Long bars are 31-3/8" center to center ( plus a few inches for the ears )

Center of the bar to center of mounting hole on the front is 7-1/2"
