Quick question on this lever...how much play is supposed to be in it? Mine moves quite a lot in either direction before engaging the valve to raise or lower implements and is there an adjustment for this???
Thanks Guys!!! ![]()

Yes I assumed this much, but is there supposed to be any slop in the lever or not? if so how much and is there something that needs adjusted? I don't know that is why I asked!!! I have to tear the gas tank off to fix another issue and was thinking of killing two birds with one stone whilst in there!!!

Nope, no play. Take the tank off and look at it. Should be self explanatory when you look at it. Very simple set up.

Also consider the friction disk down inside the dash tower. If it has loosened up enough, this will add to the floppy feeling given off by out-of-adjustment linkages.

Jon on a side note the guy is rebuilding my lift cylinder for 100 bucks. He said since this if for an old Cub Cadet kudos for restoring a good thing! I thought that was cool! I wish EVERYONE had that good nature about them!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
