cub 127 options

I am rebuilding a Cub Cadet 127. I have wheel weights, plow, deck, and trailer. I am researching to see what things I can add durring the rebuild. I've seen a loader on eBay, but that would be too expensive. Where rear PTO's and three point hitches available on this model? What other things should I consider and look for? I plan to sell my 1720 for cash to buy parts and accessories for my 127. I found someone who has a larger deck, three point hitch and snowblower that he'll sell as a lot.

I want to build the 127 with a lot of neat options. I don't plan to sell it.

Start looking for a cigarette lighter and a hydro lift. Do you have headlights for it yet?

Look here for more idea's

Luke,
You could look for a rear tiller and rear lift. The lift is really a one point, not a three point. Can't put a rear PTO on a hydro. There is also a front blade that's IH made and tons of brinly rear attachments, planter, cultivators, etc. IH did make a backblade also. Got any pics of your 127??:beerchug:

Thanks for the suggestions. My 127 has headlights and taillights already. I don't have a cigaret lighter yet. What is a hydro lift? A rear tiller sounds cool. Can someone post a picture of a rear lift and the hydro lift on a 127? I knew about IH making accesories. Thanks for the tip on Brinly. I know that my tractor was one of the last narrow frame Cubs. Are there any interchangeable parts I should look for in other model Cubs? I have a good running 1720 Hydro I plan to sell, and I think my dad has an old 1610 behind his garage he plans to fix and sell.

Duke. Are the cig lighters rare at all? My 129 and 169 has one

Luke,
Here's a pic of a narrow frame rear lift on the back of a 72 I used to have. There is a pin that goes in the end of the lift where Brinly attachments or Cub attachments hook. There also is a U-Shaped bracket that bolts behind the triangle tow bracket. On the 1X6/1X7 series, you'll also need the bracket that holds the top cast piece. Used to have a pic of the bracket, but can't find it :BangPC:. Someone else probably has a pic on the back of their 127 and will show ya one on the tractor.

From what I've seen yes they are. I have the part that does the heating part and just have to order a element that gets heated. My current one is from a wheel horse and they are diffrent then the cub version. I'll do some checking to find a older posting that talks about them in a little bit. Great score that you have two of them! I don't even smoke and want one.

I have one on my 149, gladly trade it for a rear tiller!

a rear tiller

Will a rear tiller work on a 127? Does it require a PTO?
