Updates from the 147 project Got my newly rebulit steering col. done
& my engine is coming along nicely to but i am having trouble finding
timing marks T & S to set my stact timing to .

The steering col. was in bad shape , put new bearings & race / new
metal cover & pad under lever plate / new bolt through lever plate & reweld
new bolt back sq. /new thrus bearing over bolt w/ nilon lock /new cam
follower / new steal bearing in top of col. Like i said it was a mess, had about 180 % of slop for years.. But Now !!!! CAN YOU SAY SMOOOOTH>>
I can turn it with my fingers at the nut where the steering wheel go,s
Nice!!!!!!!!
I always had trouble getting a rinch on that lock nut for the cam follower
but i think i have a fix . on my frame i cut a small notch so i could get to
the lock nut.

Here,s more pic. steering col / engine /some of the parts I,ve painted

Thanks Jeff U

Jeff it's looking great!

I had to sand my fly wheel to find my S and T timming marks on my 122. They can be hard to find. It wouldn't have hurt for them to have been stamped a little bit deeper from the factory tho.
