Load (Clutch) Spring for CC108
I think I might have the wrong clutch spring that came form Amazon. Description says it for a 108 as well as others. When I compressed it with all other parts installed on the drive shaft it looks like it's compressed so much that there is very little spring left to compress when applying the clutch pedal.
New spring not installed is 6 5/8 in. (uncompressed) Old spring not installed is 5 5/8 in. (uncompressed) I'm tempted to put the old spring back in. Thanks for any input. |
6.5/8 is the correct length. Do you have all the parts installed in the correct order? Pix would help...

I was going to take a picture of it fully assembled but could not collapse the spring enough to line up the hole for the roll pin.

For whats it's worth....
The new throwout bearing is slightly larger. Amazon part numbers--941-3056, 741-3056, IH-39-1237, IH-ST435https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...pictureid=8569 |

Both of those bearings are not oem. It should look like this one.

Do you have a source?

The one on the left (old one) looks like it was machined or ground down to make it make it narrower.
