1772 Running rough

I have an issue with my 1772 running rough and blowing black smoke. Seems to only happen after it is warmed up. I replaced the fuel filter and changed the oil but still having the issue. Any advice or ideas would be great!

Does your 1772 have 2 fuel filters? Does it seem to run better at an idle?

It only has 1 fuel filter. It definitely seems to be running better when it’s at idle.

Is the electric lift pump working good? You should have 2 fuel filters. There should be one on the input of the electric pump and then the paper filter in the fuel bowl assembly.

Check the screen on the shut off valve in the tank. I had a similar issue with my 882 over the summer and that screen was blocked.
