M to ch swap
 

Can anyone tell me if the ch 18 will go into a m18 tractor or will it be to much time and money to make the swap? Thanks for any unfo.

Pretty common swap. Use a engine plate from a 1863/1864 is how I usually do it.


You will need to move the starter wire to the opposite side and add a switched 12 volt for the carb solenoid. As well as a new throttle cable and driveshaft.


If going into something like a 1811 or similar you can get a 1863/1864 donor tractor and use wiring, driveshaft and hydro pump and it will be a bolt in swap
