Lost my lights on my 1862

I replaced the halogens headlights with LEDs this past winter and they worked fine until this past weekend. I didn't have my circuit tester available and I forgot to check to see if I had tail lights.

Are the lights on the 1862 fused? If so, where is the fuse located.

There is NO specific fuse for the "light circuit".

Power comes out of the "L" terminal to feed the Head & Tail Lights on the blue wire.

If you have lost both head & tail lights, then I would look at the Ignition Switch. If you only lost one, then I would look for a broken wire.

The halogen lights are also good for burning out abruptly, if you find power to the light but no light. Maybe the LEDs also suffered that fate? :beerchug:

The light problem was fixed. The LEDs failed so I went back to the old halogens I took out. The LEDs had less than 30 minutes of use so I am not sure why they failed so quickly. Both failing at the same time makes me think there was a current surge or a short of some kind.

Oh well, since I don't use the tractor much after dark I think I will stay with the halogens.
