Lost my lights on my 1862
I replaced the halogens headlights with LEDs this past winter and they worked fine until this past weekend. I didn't have my circuit tester available and I forgot to check to see if I had tail lights.
Are the lights on the 1862 fused? If so, where is the fuse located. |
There is NO specific fuse for the "light circuit".
Power comes out of the "L" terminal to feed the Head & Tail Lights on the blue wire. If you have lost both head & tail lights, then I would look at the Ignition Switch. If you only lost one, then I would look for a broken wire. |

The light problem was fixed. The LEDs failed so I went back to the old halogens I took out. The LEDs had less than 30 minutes of use so I am not sure why they failed so quickly. Both failing at the same time makes me think there was a current surge or a short of some kind.
Oh well, since I don't use the tractor much after dark I think I will stay with the halogens. |
