Hsd 2135

Hi Folks
Im new here. Im in Australia and have issue with my hydro static drive "Cubbie".

It was going great until I replaced the oil and filter and now transmission wont engage. Axles rotate opposite, good. Drive shaft running. I suspect problem is drive disengage lever. I used 15W40 oil and a Ryco filter (with valve). I've redrained oil and poured back in while turning axle (advised this may resolve any air locks) but still no joy.

If anyone has thoughts Id love to hear them. Regards Frank

Welcome to OCC. Awhile back I purchased a 1863 that would not move forward or reverse. Turned out someone put a B/S engine oil filter on the transmission. Filter would not allow any oil to suck up to the pump. Changed the filter and it worked perfectly.

I agree with the above statements, make sure you use the correct filter. The genuine Cub Cadet one is possibly best, but the others listed above will also work just fine.

Wrong filter , go genuine with the Hydro , on the engine you can use a Toyota Corolla filter
