Model 72 steering issue
 

The steering on my 72 has a great deal of slop in it. Is there an adjustment to eliminate it?

The slop is likely in three places, the steering box, tie rod ends and the axle pin. The box can be adjusted and the procedure is in the manual. Tie rod ends can be bought from various sources. The front alxe pin can be replace with another but you will need to squeeze the C channel with a bolt or big c clamp to tighten it back up.

The drag link on the left spindle gets very sloppy too. Replace both parts.
