I have had my eye on this 147 for about 2 years.

I've been trying to talk the owner into either giving it to me or working out some kind of trade. He doesn't remember how long it has been sitting, but says it has to be close to 10 years. Yesterday, I talked him into selling it. He wants $150 for it. The only problem is I don't have $150 and I gave him $200 for this one about 2 years ago.

The 126 was running (after filing and setting the points) and I've been using it up until it "slung a rod" over a week ago.
It's really hard to justify the extra expense right now. What do you guys think. Is the 147 worth $150? I'll be thankful for any input.

Charles, the 147 is definitely worth more than $150. Hope you're able to get it. :beerchug:

For what it's worth, since you've dealt with this guy before and the 147's been sitting there for so long, wouldn't he let you pay for it a little at a time? Also, that left rear tire -- I'm used to seeing them flat on bottom. Is flat on top typical below the Mason-Dixon Line? :bigthink: :American Flag 1:

I also agree - either he might let you pay for it over time, or maybe ask him to hold it until you can come up with the cash.

I would say on the left rear tire, it must have just been rolled to move it from an even brushier spot, therefore the flat spot on top. I hope you didn't disturb the snakes and field mice too much.

Hopefully I can come up with the money by August. It probably won't be going anywhere before then.
If I remember correctly, when the picture was taken we had started pushing it and disturbed a wasp nest. It hasn't been moved since.
