149 Points and Timing
 

Hi All. I'm working on my neighbors 149 and the wide frame covers the lower points cover screw. Do I need to drill a hole in the frame to remove the cover for points replacement/adjustment?

I just use a short flat head, there is a hole in my frame near bottom one but not direct, maybe from prior owner

Should already be a hole in the frame.... I don't know that I've ever seen a wide frame that didn't have one. :bigthink:

As mentioned, yes, there will be hole in the LH side frame.

I switched the slotted screws out on the points cover for a pair of Allen headed cap-screws. Makes access, and removal a little easier, I've found. Up to you though.
